Our Volunteers
Gifts of Joy is an entirely volunteer-run toy drive. Each year caring families, friends, and community members come together to bring a little extra joy and happiness to children and their families receiving treatment at pediatric oncology hospitals throughout the month of December.
Our History
In 2018, a group of friends started Gifts of Joy to teach our kids about the joy of giving and helping others at Christmastime. We gathered donations from our friends and family and were overwhelmed by the support we received. Our little project that began at one children's hospital quickly grew. We now support hospitals all across Southern California, and in 2023, we expanded into three hospitals in Nashville, Tennessee.
Our Mission
Our mission is to spread joy to children battling cancer and encouragement to their parents while inspiring our children, family, and friends to participate in the joy of giving. We aim to accomplish this by encouraging community support and donations, providing gifts to children in pediatric oncology hospitals at Christmastime, and notes of encouragement with a gift card for parents.
